Ghana Growth Youth Ambassador Program — A Journey of Resilience and Purpose

In August 2024, at a time when he was recovering from a personal setback following an accident, Melchizedek, the Chief Servant of Legends Hub, received an unexpected yet life-shaping opportunity. He was selected to join the Springboard Roadshow and Mastercard Foundation’s Ghana Growth Youth Ambassador Program — a beacon of hope for emerging leaders passionate about social transformation.

The week-long training held in Accra became more than just a program; it was a moment of renewal. Surrounded by fellow changemakers, Melchizedek immersed himself in sessions focused on stakeholder engagement, youth empowerment, and the agricultural value chain — learning how to bridge the gap between ideas and national impact.

Deeply moved, he reflected on the journey that led him there and expressed heartfelt appreciation to Rev. Albert Ocran, whose timeless book, “Becoming a Star in Your Workplace,” had reshaped his mindset since 2013. That message of excellence and purpose had now come full circle.

In September, the ambassadors set out to bring their learning to life — conducting impact projects that included visits to traditional and civic leaders such as the Chief’s Palace at Anaji, the Ghana Police, and the National Youth Authority. Each encounter strengthened their resolve to inspire more young people to lead with purpose.

By November, their collective effort shone brightly. After organizing community cleanup campaigns in Takoradi and Kumasi, Melchizedek’s work was featured on pages 14 and 15 of the Springboard Roadshow Foundation’s official newsletter — later showcased across Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.

Today, Melchizedek and his team continue to embody the spirit of the Ghana Growth initiative, championing youth leadership, collaboration, and sustainable development across communities. His story reminds us that even in moments of challenge, purpose can rise, and through resilience, impact can multiply.
